A deck of 52 playing cards is arranged in eight columns, all face up. Four columns have seven cards and four more have six cards each. There are also four "house" cells and four "free" cells that start empty. During the game, you can move one card from any column or the free cells. The card must be placed either on top of the next highest card of a different color in another column (e.g., a black jack can only go on a red queen) or into an empty space — a free cell or an empty column. Cards of the same suit can also be moved to the "house," starting with an ace all the way up to a king. You can also move multiple cards at once if you have enough free cells: two empty cells let you move three cards, three empty cells allow you to move four cards, and so on.
