This ancient game is believed to be one of the oldest in the world. Its origins date back so far in history that it's impossible to pinpoint when or by whom it was created. Archaeological findings suggest that games similar to this one were played in Troy (3000-2500 BC) and Pakistan (2600–1800 BC). Traces of the game have also been discovered in various other locations like Egypt, Armenia, Greece, Italy, Iceland, and China. It's a testament to the fact that no other game has achieved such widespread popularity throughout human history.
This game, known by many names across different cultures, has a multitude of versions. In this app, you'll find the classic European edition, providing a unique gaming experience.
You have the option to play against the computer, challenge a friend on the same device, or compete with an online opponent in multiplayer mode.
Spelinstructies
Players alternate placing their pieces on unoccupied circles.
When a player lines up three of their pieces in a row, they can remove any of their opponent's pieces from the board. This kind of row is called a «mill».
After all the pieces are placed, players can move them to adjacent free circles along the line to create a mill. Pieces cannot jump or move diagonally.
If a player has three pieces left, they get an advantage and can move their pieces to any free circle on their next turn.
The game ends when:
- A player has only two pieces left. They lose because they cannot make a mill anymore.
- A player wins because their opponent has no available moves due to all adjacent squares being occupied.
