You play the role of a courageous protector in Hope County. Three forest monsters are scaring the locals. The authorities ignore the problem, so you are the only one who can help. Residents look up to you as their only hope for rescue.
You enter the spooky forest and try to catch the monsters. But they start chasing you instead.

The goal is to collect 8 notes and use them to open the door to an old house. Inside the house, you'll find weapons that you can use against the enemies – three Shreks. There are two Shreks that are just running around the map, trying to find you. If they catch up with you, you lose. The third Shrek can teleport to any location on the map and will try to destroy you. When he is close to you, your health will be rapidly decreasing. If your health reaches zero – you lose the game. Your health is slowly decreasing if you don't use a flashlight, but it can be restored if you use a powerful flashlight mode. The flashlight charge will slowly decrease when you use it for healing, so make sure to find batteries. You can run to get around faster, but this will drain your speed. You can restore it by drinking from cans of drink or by walking.
