The objective of the game is to construct a pile of cards, moving them in descending order from King to Ace. Cards can be shifted between piles to help build columns. The highest-ranking card is the King, and the lowest is the Ace. A correctly built pile has a precise sequence: King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Ace. In the version of the game where multiple types of playing cards are used, a completed column must consist of cards from one type only. You can move the King to an open space in the tableau, regardless of the pile's size. If needed, you can mix piles in versions of the game with different types of cards.
